On Friday, September 18th, Walden Circle resident, Lily Gallagher bravely made her way around the CN Tower Edge Walk! Sent off by cheering friends, family and media, Lily hopped on the Walden Circle bus and headed into the city. While some of us weren’t sure she’d actually do it, Lily’s determination never wavered. The 85 years young mother, grandmother and great-grandmother asked us to grant her wish last winter and she’s been training ever since! Lily has been walking regularly attending fitnesss classes and swimming in the Walden salt-water pool as often as she could to get strong for the big day. She looked so calm and collected and even said she knew they’d never let her fall! All of us at Walden Circle were so THRILLED to help grant Lily’s wish, with the help of sponsor Carol Ann Hamilton, a local author (www.carolannhamilton.com).
