The Mississauga Furniture Bank held its first “Linen Social” at the Walden Circle Retirement Community. The Mississauga Furniture Bank received a Seniors Community Grant from the Government of Ontario. The grant is for their “Give a Sheet” program to collect bedding that has been donated from hotels. Then they host a “Linen Social” where seniors in the community can volunteer to sort, fold, package and label the bedding. Thank you to those who donated the sheets and to the Walden Circle residents and guests who helped fold and prepare the linens to help give someone a brighter future.
